CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – At 6:16 a.m. on Sunday Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies, a Jones County Sheriff’s Deputy, the Iowa Condition Patrol, the Springville Fireplace Office, Location Ambulance, and Monticello Ambulance responded to an accident on Freeway 151 and Linn-Jones Street.
1st Responders identified a black 2006 Honda Accord in the inside southbound lane of Freeway 151 with its driver, 21 12 months outdated Alisa Stone from Cedar Rapids, Iowa inside. A Dim Blue 2019 Nissan Frontier sat in the outdoors northbound lane of Highway 151 with its driver 66 calendar year outdated Leon Bodoh from Alvarado, Texas within.
Stone complained of arm, leg, and flank discomfort from the crash. Location Hospital took Stone to Mercy Medical center in Cedar Rapids. Bodoh had a minor head damage from the incident and was taken to Jones County Regional Medical center by the Monticello Ambulance. One particular other passenger was in the Accord, but was not wounded.
After investigating, authorities concluded the Honda Accord was traveling south on Linn-Jones Road and stopped at the intersection of Highway 151. The Honda then moved into the intersection, with no yielding to the Nissan Frontier, which was traveling south on Freeway 151. The Nissan strike the Accord’s entrance motorists aspect, lost command, and went by means of the grass median and stopped in the northbound lane.
Alisa Stone, the Honda’s driver, was charged with failure to produce the ideal-of-way right before getting into an intersection.
